Singing Shrimp Recipe with Chef Averriel Thomas

INGREDIENTS

    • 2lb-21/25 shrimp
    • 1 pint mushrooms
    • 4 cloves minced garlic
    • 1/2 cup diced green onions
    • 4 TSP butter
    • 8oz heavy whipping cream
    • 2 TSP Worcestershire Sauce
    • 1/2lb fettuccini
    • Parsley (for garnish)
    • Seasoning Salt
    • Salt-n-pepper to taste
    • Hot Sauce
    • 1/4 cup of Cognac

 DIRECTIONS

  • STEP 1

    Heat large cooking pan.  Add 3 tsp of butter, minced garlic, ed green onions and salt and pepper to taste.

  • STEP 2

    Add shrimp and top with seasoning salt turn shrimp and season the other side while cooking for 3 minutes. Mix in Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce.

  • STEP 3

    (Optional with caution)  Pull pan away from heat and add cognac.  Slowing bring the pan back to the heat to flame the shrimp. Shake the pan to toss the shrimp until the flames dies down.

  • STEP 4

    Add mushrooms stir then add heavy whipping cream.  Let simmer for 5 minutes.  Add pasta mix and serve.
