In this tutorial, I'll walk you through the process step-by-step, so you can create a stunning Hanging Spring Bouquet Basket Door Wreath to adorn your front door this Easter!
For this project you will need:
- Small easels
- Burlap material
- Nautical rope
- Burlap ribbon
- Springy flowers
- Sequins eggs
- Floral wire
- Hot glue gun with gorilla glue sticks

1. Gather your materials.
Preparing the basket frame

2. Open the front part of the easel and put hot glue on the inside edges where the back leg rotates out.
3. Move the easel leg to about a 30 degree angle and put hot glue on the outside of the back. Let the hot glue dry completely and remove the screw part of the easel.
covering the basket

4. To cover the frame use a Dollar Tree roll of burlap material (about a yard) and fold the top over to create a burlap rim collar. Turn the material over so that the collar is facing down and place the frame in the center of the material, leaving a finger space above it. Put a little hot glue at the top and bottom of the frame and attach it to the material.
.
5. Put hot glue on the frame to attach the material at the bottom. Put two little holes in the material so that the arms of the easel can go through.
.
6. Cut the material and fold it over to make sure it fits snugly in the front and back. Put a little hot glue on the wood frame to attach the material and neatly close the back. Fold down the collar ends in the back and hot glue neatly to the frame. Now your frame is covered with an opening for your flowers.

7. Cut a piece of 2 inch wide ribbon long enough to fit around the top part of the covered frame. Cut small holes to put the arms through the ribbon. Tuck the ribbon a quarter way underneath the burlap collar rim so that there is at least 1 & 1/2 inch of ribbon showing below the burlap fold. Add a few drops of hot glue to attach the ribbon to the burlap material.

8. To make it look more like a basket, start by applying hot glue to the bottom edge of the covered frame and add nautical rope by rolling it around going upward. Put a good amount of hot glue on the material for the first two rows then put dots of glue in different sections, such as the front, back, and sides.

9. Continue going around until the end and add new roll of rope. You will need two rolls of nautical rope for the project. Attach the rope around until you cover the bottom part of the ribbon. Finish gluing the rope in the back of the basket.

10. Cut a piece of the same ribbon about a yard and tie a bow. Attach the bow to the basket over the center side of the inserted basket ribbon using a piece of wire. Poke the wire through the bow then through the ribbon on the basket to the inside of the basket. Twist tie, cut and roll the wire inward.

11. Cut a 45 inch piece of pope to use for the top strap and attach it to each arms with a knot. Leave about 6” below each knot for later adjustments. Tie the excess rope to the back of the basket.
Decorating the basket

12. To decorate the basket, arrange spring like flowers. I’m starting with greenery, succulents, lavender, yellow and white sprays.

13. I’m using tulips as my main flower so I’ll place this tulip bouquet in the back of the basket and move each head to be positioned to the front and evenly throughout the basket.

14. Once your Hanging Spring Bouquet Basket Door Wreath is finished, it's time to add the finishing touches. These inexpensive finishing touches will make your wreath stand out from the rest. For Easter, you can add sequin eggs to the baskets by poking skewers in them and inserting them into the basket. The eggs can be removed after the holiday leaving your display perfect throughout Spring and all summer long. To get a real summer feel, consider changing the flowers out with a few colorful summer flowers or blooms. Consider other decorations such as charms for your wreath. This is an easy and inexpensive way to customize your Easter/Spring/Summer bouquet basket wreath and give it your own personal touch. It cost me about $12 to create one basket using these Dollar Tree store. Finally, you can also hang some spring wreath signs on your door wreath to give it an extra special touch. You can find spring-themed signs at any craft store and they are sure to make your Hanging Spring Bouquet Basket Door Wreath pop!
